Mainly focused on NativeChat(formerly - a chatbot development platform used by leading US and international financial, insurance and healthcare companies. This was the first Progress product utilizing AI and Machine Learning technologies. Also the first home-grown product of Progress since 1990s and the first success of Progress innovation labs program started in 2016.

  • Did the product UX - brainstorming and ideation workshops, low and high fidelity wireframing, storyboarding etc.
  • Created, maintained and improved the web and social presence, the product documentation and getting started experience by multiple A/B tests, analytics data research etc.
  • Did regular usability tests and the ongoing user and competitive research.
  • Integral part of the team doing the strategy and roadmap planning.
  • One of the 4 patent holders for the Cognitive Flow technology patent - the basis of the product.

Principal UX Designer February 2016–February 2017

My main focus was helping business development and marketing teams of Progress’s Application Development and Web Content Management divisions figure out an innovative solution combining their product offerings.

  • Responsible for the overall information architecture and navigation of the new solution. It included 10 different products that needed to provide an integrated experience.
  • Created proof-of-concept high-fidelity prototypes to validate the needs and expectations of different clients for a few $1 million+ sales opportunities.
  • Helped the members of a design team which designed the individual products of the solution by providing them with guidance on how these products fit together and how can they provide better user experience as part of a single solution.
  • Responsible for maintaining a cohesive visual and interaction style guide that was then used by the 10+ development teams which implemented each of the products.

Senior UX Designer March 2011–February 2016

Telerik (acquired by Progress Software)

Worked on different products as UX designer.

  • As part of a team of UX and graphic designers formed to implement the rebranding of Telerik I was responsible for the redesign of some of the highest traffic and revenue generating pages and section of the website. . Following the rebranding and repositioning of the company, it was acquired by Progress software in a US$270+ million deal (the biggest acquisition in Bulgarian IT sector to date).
  • Did the UX design for TeamPulse - a web based agile project management tool. Led a major redesign of the product. The project was implemented by 2 development teams in Bulgaria and one in Canada. Product management, marketing, sales and most of the clients were based in the US and Canada, so I had to create a lot of low and high fidelity prototypes to help both specifications definition and end-user validation.
  • Worked as a part of UX team for a larger division of the company building a cross-platform mobile application development platform. I designed a developer tooling for visual and functional code scaffolding of mobile apps.

Senior Interaction Designer November 2004–March 2011

Worked on more than 100 projects for websites and web-based applications. The main responsible person for the usability of these solutions. Employee of the year for 2008.

  • Helped establish the company as the best agency for web development in the country.
  • Projects received more than 30 awards for design and usability.
  • The scale of the projects varied from small customer-facing websites done within small budget and time-frame to large systems which take over a year or two to design and develop.
  • Did consulting on UX best practices both for clients and project teams during the whole process.
  • Worked with external usability consultancies to validate the effectiveness of the designs - usually resulting in reports for very high task completion and satisfaction rates.

Information Architect October 2002–November 2004

Sofia, Bulgaria

Responsible for the information architecture and usability for websites of varying scale.

  • Initially the company worked creating websites for small local businesses, NGOs and advertising campaigns and helped many local businesses establish online presence for the first time.
  • Later on did work for several government institutions, national TV stations and financial institutions.
  • Due to the small size of the agency’s team acted as project manager, did front-end developer and copywriting.
  • Won several national web design competition awards.
